TheUnited Way of Indiana Countyis in the midst of its annual summer grant program, and is seeking non-profit agencies to submit requests for “modest-size” grants for projects or programs within the county.
To qualify for a grant, the organization must demonstrate a solid programmatic plan for meeting critical human service needs in Indiana County. The United Way provided thirteen grants last year, with the average award being $1,168 for services such as education initiatives, employment or activites for youth with disabilities, building parenting skills, temporary shelters, veterans support, and back-to-school progamming.
