A Smicksburg man will be sentenced today for his guilty plea to a single felony count of child pornography.

46-year-old Walter Charles Bowser was fired from his job at DC Sales in Dixonville last January after his cellphone was found in a restroom, recording people who were using the facility.  Police obtained a search warrant for the phone and found numerous images,   Bowser told investigators that he set up the phone in the bathroom to try to record the conversation of a fellow employee who was “badmouthing” him, but further analysis of the phone found videos of a woman undressing to take a shower in a residence and another video of a teenage girl undressing to shower as well.  Police identified the girl and confirmed that she was 15 years old.

Bowser pleaded guilty in June.  Ten felony counts, five misdemeanors, and a summary offense were withdrawn.  His sentencing is scheduled before Judge Wiliam Martin at 8:30 AM.
