It was a packed house at Saturday night’s second annual George Bailey Awards Dinner, hosted by the Jimmy Stewart Museum. This year’s winners included those in the media community that have assisted the museum.
Winners included Renda Broadcasting’s Tony Renda, John Yang of NBC News, Michael Donnelly of the Indiana Gazette, James Palmieri of Indiana Community Television and Barbara Vancheri of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Nick Clooney emceed the dinner this year. He has made many trips on behalf of the museum to Indiana County, including this year’s Rich Little performance at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Last night, Clooney announced that the dinner would be the last time he and wife Nina would visit Indiana for an official museum function. Clooney says he is passing the torch to a new generation of museum supporters.
Kelly Stewart-Harcourt also spoke at the dinner, praising the museum’s role in events such as Indiana’s annual Light-Up Night and thanking its supporters for keeping her father’s legacy alive.
