The Marion Center School Board meets tonight for a combined work and regular meeting.
There are several items of note on tonight’s agenda. Among them is a motion to contract with Public Financial Management Incorporated to refinance the General Obligation Bonds of 2008 through an internet competitive sale. The board is hoping to save $100,000 through that sale. In other business, the board will vote on the retirement of elementary school gym teacher Rocky Sprow. Sprow has been with the district 26 years.
The board will also consider recognizing Competitive Spirit, which is cheerleading, and indoor track as interscholastic sports. The meeting tonight is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the W.A. McCreery Elementary Library.
