The United School District hired a new superintendent at their reorganization meeting last night.  Dr. Barbara Parkins currently serves as the Dual Enrollment coordinator for the Greater Johnstown School District.  Parkins takes the place of interim Superintendent Donald Thomas, who has been filling that role since former Superintendent David Blozowich's resignation last summer.


Parkins once served as superintendent at the Greater Johnstown School District.  She was signed to a five year contract with United.  In other business, the board the board elected Don Davis as its new president.  He follows Trudy DeRubis, who will now serve as the board’s Vice President.
