PA COAL MINES WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE DEFIBRILLATORS

12/8/2012

Coal miner operators in Pennsylvania have three months to install automated external defibrillators. There must be a defibrillator at the mine entrance and down in the mine in each working section. This requirement was written by the Board of Coal Mine Safety. And automated external defibrillator analyzes the heart rhythm of a person and advises the user whether or not a shock is required. The computer analysis allows the device to be used a non health professional.
