Ends eight-year run on the Parks and Recreation Board

At last Night's Homer Center Borough Council meeting, Mayor Ken Cecconi said he was resigning after eight years on the Parks and Recreation Board because he doesn't feel he can fulfill the responsibilities on that board along with all the other responsibilities in his life.  Cecconi recommended that someone from Borough Council take his place.  A replacement for Cecconi will be named at the next meeting in February.

In other business it was announced that part-time police officer Francis Plummer will resign from the police force effective January 18th due to continued scheduling conflicts.  For now, Homer City Borough Council will not find a replacement for him.
