Yanity and McAdoo accused of breaking into numerous buildings in Armagh area

Preliminary hearings are scheduled today for two Seward men accused of attempting to break into an Armagh home.  Investigators later said one of the suspects admitted afterward that they had burglarized numerous homes and churchs in the Armagh area.

22-year-old Nathan Yanity and 31-year-oldGregory McAdoo, who both live at Yanity’s mother’s home along Route 403, are due before District Judge Jennifer Rega this morning.  An Armaghhomeowner caught them trying to break into his home on December 6th , held them at gunpoint, and released them after they gave their identities, which turned out to be false. Using photographs, the victim later identified the suspects as Yanity and McAdoo and police tracked them down at the Black Lick home of Yanity’s sister.

Yanity and McAdoo are also charged with breaking into a home on November 25th and a church on November 27th.  Other charges may be filed as investigators look into unsolved cases in theArmagh area.

McAdoo is already serving probation after having spent time in state prison for the armed robbery of aMarionCenterbank branch ten years ago.

In related cases, Yanity’s sister and mother both face charges of hindering apprehension.
