State Representative Jeff Pyle has been assigned to several committees for the new legislative term by State House Speaker Sam Smith. 

The committees include Appropriations, Transportation, Energy and Environmental Resources and the Committee on Committees. 

The Appropriations Committee is responsible for shaping the state’s spending priorities.  Pyle says serving on the Transportation Committee is important, since Governor Tom Corbett is set to unveil a comprehensive transportation plan to fund major projects.  Pyle lists securing funding for road projects across his district and western Pennsylvania as top priorities and says the regions roads are still in dire need of repair.
