The Marion Center School Board met for its monthly work session last night.
The school board discussed school safety in the wake of the deadly shooting last month at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
School officials say the discussion centered on whether or not to add armed security at school buildings. No decisions were made a last night's board meeting.
Officials say the discussion will continue over the next several months and that this is an issue that could be discussed again at next week's school board meeting.
