The Indiana Area School Board meets tonight. Tonight’s preliminary agenda includes more discussion on the proposed Challenger Learning Center.
This is something that the district has been working on for some time. The board has been exploring the possibility of bringing a learning center to the county that would draw visits from school groups from across Western Pennsylvania. The Challenger Learning Centers focus on space education.
The board will vote tonight on making an application for the learning center. In other business, the board will continue to discuss school safety. The board will vote on whether or not to authorize the administration to meet with the Pennsylvania State Police to explore the options when it comes to bringing a School Resource Officer into the district buildings.
The Indiana school board will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Administration Building.
