Twenty-seven $100 bills chased at Indiana Wal Mart

One day after a report of phony one-hundred dollar bills that were used to purchase merchandise at the Punxsutawney WalMart store, there is a report today of another counterfeit case, this one at the Indiana WalMart the same night.  The perpetrators evidently drove to the White Township store directly from the Punxsutawney store and executed the same crime, only this time they used 27 fake hundred-dollar bills.

State police say the Punxsutawney incident happened Friday night at about 9 o’clock, the Indiana incident just over an hour later.  The counterfeit money was used to purchase electronics.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to contact state police at 357-1960.
