A Marion Center man is in a Pittsburgh hospital today after an accident yesterday afternoon on Route 85 in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County.

A spokesperson at UPMC Presbyterian says 34-year-old Jeremy Bracken is in critical condition.

State police in Kittanning say the crash happened at 1:22 PM about a mile east of the Route 839 intersection near West Shamokin High School.  The vehicle missed a left-hand curve  and slid off the road, hitting a tree.  Bracken was ejected.  He was first taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, then transferred to UPMC.

Route 85 was closed for several hours after the crash.
