Friends will be received today at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home for Michael Donatelli.  Viewings are scheduled from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a funeral mass to be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church here in Indiana.

Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery.  Donatelli was a 1985 graduate of Indiana High School and one of three who died in a helicopter crash Sunday in California, while filming for a new Discovery Channel television program.  The program is still untitled, but has a military theme and is being produced by Eyeworks USA.

The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. in a remote canyon area at the Polsa Rosa Ranch, located in Acton, Los Angeles County.  Donatelli, who was 45, was a well known amateur boxer in his youth.  He also was a highly decorated combat veteran, serving as a “Green Beret” and Army Ranger.
