AnIndianaCountyman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on a single charge of possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the indictment announced by U.S. Attorney David Hickton, 27-year-old Christopher Murdock, who formerly lived on South 5th Street in Indiana, “possessed visual depictions, namely videos and images in computer graphics files…of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct” on or about November 17th last year.
State police and the FBI investigated the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. If found guilty, Murdock faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and fines of as much as $250,000.
The indictment does not say where Murdock now lives, other than that it is inIndianaCounty.
