Ten employers and training providers, including one in Indiana County, were recognized by the state yesterday for outstanding hiring and workforce development success. The businesses and their partners received Governor’s Achievement Awards. That recognition came at the 29th annual Pennsylvania Partners Employment, Training and Education Conference, which is being held in Hershey through today.
Among the businesses recognized was Indiana County’s Clark Metal Products, which works with the Indiana County Technology Center.
The awards are jointly sponsored by state workforce development agencies – the departments of Aging, Labor & Industry, Education and Public Welfare – and Pennsylvania Partners to recognize exceptional employers and training providers who promote outstanding hiring and workforce development practices.
