Reports are saying that another member of Governor Tom Corbett’s cabinet is on the way out.

Education Secretary Ron Tomalis is not expected to stay past summer.  An official timetable has not been set yet, but he is expected to stay until after the July 1st budget deadline.  If he does go, he would be the fifth cabinet member to leave the Corbett administration since Corbett took office in January of 2011.  Welfare Secretary Gary Alexander, Environmental Secretary Michael Krancer, Health Secretary Eli Avila, and Inspector General Kenya Faulkner have all left their respective offices in the last year.

Two anonymous sources with the administration have said the reason why Tomalis is leaving is due to some behind the scenes tension between him and some people close to the Governor, but details were not given.
