There are just a handful of Penelec customers without power in Indiana borough and White Township. The outage is associated with last night’s storms and at its height; more than 1,500 customers were without power in that area.
One of the areas affected early this morning by the outage was the intersection of Philadelphia and 4th Streets. You are reminded to treat any intersection where the traffic lights are out like a four-way stop.
REA officials reported last night that they also have outages across Indiana and Cambria counties, but officials have not issued an update on how much of that power has been restored. Across Indiana County, Penelec is reporting that more than 260 customers are still waiting for restoration. REA and Penelec crews were out all night working to address the issues.
