The White Township Supervisors were updated about a possible roundabout at East Pike Road and Philadelphia Street at last night’s public meeting. Assistant Township Manager Chris Anderson reported that the roundabout is in the preliminary planning stage. It would substitute for a traffic light if implemented.

Supervisor George Lenz gave an updated on his continued efforts to start a flea market at the recreation complex. Lenz said he first proposed this idea four years ago. Since then, there have been a lot of interest within the community but it hasn’t quite come together. The reason for this, he said, were bureaucratic barriers such as the need to protect the facilities and research insurance liabilities.

Lenz said it could be a great long-term moneymaker. Stalls at the recreation complex would be rented to vendors and concessions would also bring in revenue.
