HOMER CENTER BUDGET HOLDS TAX RATE AT CURRENT LEVEL
$15.2 million final budget approved

5/24/2013

The Homer-Center School Board last night voted unanimously to approve a proposed final budget of $15,281,000 for the 2013-2014 school year.  The budget holds the real estate tax rate steady at 125.6 mills. Superintendent Dr. Charles Koren says a lot of hard work went into developing the plan and to preventing a tax increase.

In other business, the board voted unanimously to hire Rhonda Clifford as the board secretary for the next four years, as well as to hire Leah McCoy as the head varsity volleyball coach.
