LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO RECEIVE MORE FUNDING UNDER STATE BUDGET

Since the passage of the state budget early this week, legislators have praised the amount of funding for education found in the bill.  The budget spends $120 million more for basic education, which brings the total for k-12 to $10 billion.  The budget also includes $126 million for early education such as Head Start and pre-kindergarten programs.  Here are the funding changes for school districts in Indiana County.
