Indiana County District Attorney Pat Dougherty says he will file charges resulting from a frightening incident on Saturday on Route 422 in White Township in which a 6-month-old baby was thrown from a pick-up after a “road rage”-fueled chase.
It happened near the intersection with Route 119. Dougherty says the truck went over an embankment and into a ditch after the driver chased a motorcyclist whom he claimed had cut him off. As the truck crashed, the 6-month-old was ejected but wasn't hurt.
Route 422 was closed for five hours Saturday as police investigated and workers cleaned up the debris-strewn highway.
Neither Dougherty nor police have identified the driver of the truck.
