FOUR TIMES CONTINUED, HEARINGS BACK ON DOCKET FOR TWO ACCUSED OF GROWING POT
Marijuana-growing operation spotted by air surveillance

9/17/2013

After four continuations, preliminary hearings are scheduled again today for two defendants accused of multiple drug charges that arose last August when a state police air surveillance team spotted marijuana growing on a property in Cherryhill Township.

38-year-old Roderick Ejuan Jones and 50-year-old James Drennan were both charged in April with felony conspiracy and four counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, plus four misdemeanor drug charges.

The air surveillance team saw marijuana growing in a fenced-in area at a trailer along South Harmony Road, and further on-site inspection revealed two rooms of the trailer had been converted into growing rooms for marijuana.  Police also found cocaine and a synthetic form of hydrocodone (called “Dihydrocodeinone”).

The two defendants are due before District Judge George Thachik today at 2 PM.
