Even though their names may not be on the ballot, two people have announced their plans to run for Indiana Borough Council out of the third ward.
At a rally last night, it was announced that IUP student Taralyn Federoff and IUP alumnus Jennifer Gonda-English will run as write-in candidates for the two seats open on Indiana Borough’s third ward. The two are being sponsored by Indiana Voter Initiative and Education (IndianaVIE), a group not affiliated with the university. The rally was held at IUP’s Hadley Union Building and it encouraged the IUP student population to vote on election day.
Others running for the two borough council seats from the third ward that are on the ballot include Republicans Richard Thorell and Matthew Gaudet and Democrat Nancy Jones.
