Victim had pulled into the path of oncoming vehicle

An Indiana man suffered serious injuries late yesterday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Warren Road in White Township.  State police say 71-year-old Vernon Troup pulled from the stop sign at McKnight Road, into the path of a vehicle driven by 88-year-old Virginia Holmes of Indiana.  The two collided and Troup was ejected from his vehicle.

Troup was taken first to Indiana Regional Medical Center and flown from there to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.  A spokesperson there this morning said they are not releasing any information on his condition.  Holmes was not injured.
