A Penn Run man has been charged with attempted homicide after he shot a man yesterday during a domestic disturbance at a home in Cherryhill Township.
State police say it happened at 5:15 PM at a home along Jacobs Lane, which is off North Harmony Lane, near Route 422. Police say 50-year-old Kenneth Alex Lobur was involved in a physical confrontation with 53-year-old John Lobur Jr., and John Lobur suffered a head laceration. That’s when 57-year-old Kevin Swegles of Penn Run stepped in and Kenneth Lobur drew a .22 caliber revolver and fired several shots at him. One of the bullets hit Swegles in the thigh. The severity of the wound is not reported.
State troopers took Kenneth Lobur into custody as he tried to flee the home. He’s facing numerous charges, including attempted homicide and aggravated assault. In 2010, he served probation after a plea bargain after he had been charged with DUI and engaging in fighting. In another case in 2009, he served probation after pleading guilty to terroristic threats.
