Downtown Indiana’s IRMC Park at North 7th Street will play a key role for many future community celebrations, and workers from Palo Contracting are racing to get as much of the construction work done as they can before the first big event, the parade festivities that will kick off the holiday season on November 22nd.
Last week, they worked on sidewalks and the café tables, trash, and recycling receptacles. The IRMC Arch is complete now with the exception of the letters being installed, and the meter poles were set last week, too.
All of the concrete for the Vinegar Hill steps is now poured, as are the sidewalks below and above the steps, and the wall was sand-blasted.
This week, Palo will continue to work on the brick inlays, finish back-filling, and will install the fence at the top of Vinegar Hill.
