One person was injured in a crash on Monday in Pine Township.

Indiana-Based Police say 28-year-old Melanie Chronosky of Indiana was driving east on Route 422, behind a tractor-trailer truck driven by 51-year-old Donald Rosenberger of Ford City.  Chronosky started to try and pass Rosenberger on the left after the legally posted passing zone had ended, and Chronosky’s car hit the tractor trailer.

Chronosky was injured, but police do not know the severity of the injuries.  She was cited by police for failure to obey a traffic control sign.  Rosenberger was uninjured in the crash.

A traffic stop turned into a drug bust on a highway in White Township.

State Police say that 21-year-old Brandon Allen Eck of Northern Cambria was stopped by troopers for traffic violations at the intersection of Routes 422 and 119 in White Township.  Police found marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia in the car.  Eck has been charged with several drug charges.
