IUP Headlines

Senior defensive back Jerell McFadden (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) is ready for his final matchup with Slippery Rock Saturday.  Five years at IUP has prepared him for his last game against the Crimson Hawks' biggest rival.

THE GAME | The Crimson Hawks return home to host the best rivalry game in the PSAC when Slippery Rock visits Frank Cignetti Field @ George P. Miller Stadium on Saturday. Both teams enter the bitter matchup coming off heartbreaking losses, including IUP, whose comeback attempt fell short in a 21-13 loss at Cal in the Coal Bowl. SRU lost its 2nd straight game, succumbing to Mercyhurst 45-23 in the Big House Battle at Michigan Stadium.

INDIANA, PA – With fall sports beginning to wind down, just three IUP teams see action at home this week.

CALIFORNIA, PA – The Vulcans picked off a pass attempt by Chase Haslett (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) with less than a minute remaining to end IUP's threat as the Crimson Hawks fell to 25th-ranked California (PA) 21-13 in the sixth annual Coal Bowl on Saturday afternoon at Adamson Stadium.

THE GAME | The Crimson Hawks hit the road for their biggest game thus far, facing rival California (PA) in the sixth edition of the Coal Bowl. Both teams enter this matchup on 4-game winning streaks, with IUP coming off of an exciting 51-28 win over Seton Hill on Homecoming. The Vulcans are also flying high, defeating then-19th ranked Slippery Rock 48-26 at home last weekend.

INDIANA, PA - Homecoming weekend, featuring three teams seeing wins at home, has come to an end, and now the fall teams look to finish their seasons strong.

INDIANA, PA - Darian Bradley (Midland, Pa./Beaver) ran for 92 yards and four touchdowns and Walt Pegues (Philadelphia, Pa. /Central) set a school record with a 96-yard punt return for a touchdown as the Crimson Hawks defeated Seton Hill 51-28 on Homecoming at Miller Stadium on Saturday.

Coming Home - Four IUP Alumni who have returned to work for the football program at their alma mater.

THE GAME | It's Homecoming in Indiana as the Crimson Hawks bring their three-game winning streak to Miller Stadium and host Seton Hill on Saturday in a 2 p.m. kickoff. IUP is currently in a three-way tie for 2nd place in the PSAC West with a 3-1 conference record, and are coming off of an 18-8 win at Edinboro. Conversely, the Griffins have lost three straight and are 1-3 in the PSAC, although they gave California (PA) a tight game in a 31-21 home loss last weekend.

INDIANA, PA – It's Homecoming week at IUP, and we have four teams seeing competition at home starting Wednesday.
