Carolyn L. Orr-Weston, 73, of Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, after battling cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and the Lord watching over her.
Born in Indiana, on Oct. 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Brian Earl and Mildred Rozenia Bailey Orr.
Carolyn was a home healthcare provider. She grew up on a farm in Five Points with 13 siblings. Carolyn was a hard worker and a dedicated mother, raising five children on her own. Everyone that met Carolyn was drawn to her strong personality. She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her family.
Carolyn is survived by her five children: Vickie Long and husband Barry, of Commodore; Thomas P. Gearhart, of Ray City, GA; Keith Gearhart and wife Amanda, of Cookport; Tammy Coleman and husband Brad, of Home, who were also her loving caregivers; and Leisa May Bailey and husband Brian, of Plumville; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Wayne Orr, of Five Points; and Daryl Orr, of Five Points; a sister, Martha Orr Parks, of Atwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends and family will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Tim Lewis and Pastor Regis J. Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Five Points.
