It’s decision day for Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. He must report to the Steelers facility by 4 PM or he will be ineligible to play this season. The 26-year old running back has held out all season, refusing to sign his one-year, $14.5 million franchise-tag contract.
Meanwhile, the Steelers get back on the practice field to prepare for Sunday afternoon’s game at Jacksonville. The Steelers have won five in a row and sit atop the AFC North at 6-2-and-1. The Jaguars are on a five-game slide and 3-and-6 overall.
In other pro football news, it was not a good day Monday for two former Pitt starts. Quarterback Nathan Peterman was released by the Buffalo Bills yesterday. Former Browns Coach Hue Jackson was hired as a Bengals assistant to help with the defense, as Cincinnati fired defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, another one-time Pitt star.
