The Pittsburgh Penguins traded Carl Hagelin to the the Los Angeles Kings for forward Tanner Pearson on Wednesday, as announced by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Pearson has scored 69 goals, including 17 game-winning goals, and 144 points in 325 career games in six seasons with the Kings.
Pearson’s contract carries an average annual value of $3.75 million and he is signed through the 2020-21 season.
Speaking of Rutherford, he was signed to a three-year contract through the 2021-22 season today as well. The deal extends Rutherford’s existing contract, which was scheduled to run through the current season.
