Betsy Anne Sisitki went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Betsy was an elementary music teacher for the Northern Cambria and the Marion Center Area School Districts.
Betsy was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church of Marion. She sang in the church choir and was the choir director and pianist for 38 years. In addition, she served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and vacation Bible school teacher and helper. Betsy loved sharing her love of Christ, music, reading, and traveling to the beach with close friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, James Sisitki; father, Hannibal “Boots” Belardinelli and fianc Dee Donald; two sons – Matthew Hood; Andrew Hood and wife Jenelle; two sisters – Kathy Reece and husband Terry; Brenda Belardinelli and partner Janice Fordyce; stepsons – Jim Sisitki, Jr. and wife Terri; Greg Sisitki and wife Michele. Grandchildren include Aden Hood, Alex Gruver and wife Shannon, Cole Gruver, Christopher Sisitki, Molly Sisitki, Mason Sisitki, Aaron Sisitki and great granddaughters Rayne and Verity Gruver. Betsy is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends-especially her Friday night diners’ club.
Betsy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty (McKee) Belardinelli, and the father of her sons, Ronald Hood.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Marion, Marion Center, PA, with Pastor Chris Enoch officiating. Interment will be private.
