Margaret R. Stonebraker, 94, of Clymer, PA died Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her home.
The daughter of Joseph and Agnes Myerick, she was born on July 16, 1925 in Cherryhill Twp., Indiana Co., PA.
Margaret was a member of the Montgomery Church of the Brethren. She greatly enjoyed attending church services.
Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening; cooking and canning. She thoroughly loved hgathering her family together to share family meals. Three additional favorite pastimes were reading; knitting and crocheting.
Margaret married James C. Stonebraker on December 25, 1948. They shared over fifty-six years of marriage until his death on February 27, 2005.
She is survived by her three children: James D. Stonebraker of Homer City, PA; Paul D. Stonebraker of Clymer, PA and Kathy J. Moyer and husband Kenneth of Clymer, PA; her grandson Michael J. Moyer and wife Billie Jo (Barnes) and her two great grandchildren: Christian J. and Carly Jo Moyer.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Dickie Stonebraker on April 1, 1953; her sisters: Mary Smith; Josephine Beer; Agnes Nagy and Frances Myerick and her brother, John Myerick.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. An 11:00 a.m. funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Montgomery Church of the Brethren in Purchase Line, PA with Pastor Paul Yarnal and Pastor Dale Leverknight officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Decker’s Point, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Montgomery Church of the Brethren or a favorite charity.
