APSCUF, the union representing coaches at the State System of Higher Education issued a news release on the recent round of negotiations.
Monday’s meeting was the seventh bargaining session between the two sides, and it was held at the APSCUF offices in Harrisburg. The two bargaining teams did discuss some proposals and APSCUF coaches executive leader John Gump said that they reached agreement on several items, but there are still substantive issues that need to be worked out. Further details on the contract talks were not released.
The coaches’ contract expired on June 30th and they have been working under the terms of their prior collective bargaining agreement. Further bargaining sessions have been scheduled for November 18th and on December 5th and 11th in Harrisburg.
