Kenneth Lyle Helman, 76, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 while at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of Lyle and Charlotte (McQuiston) Helman, he was born September 25, 1943 in Indiana, PA.
Kenneth had been employed as a coal miner for many years. He was a fan of auto racing and enjoyed watching high school sports and especially enjoyed cheering for Marion Center. Kenny’s greatest gift was his incredible sense of humor. He had an uncanny ability to make the people around him smile no matter what the circumstance and his presence could fill an entire room with laughter. Kenny will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara (Zimmerman) Helman whom he wed in 1966; children, Bryan Helman and Erika Cooper and her husband, Jason; grandchildren, Logan Helman, Tyler Helman and his fiance, Olivia Riley, and Jack Cooper; brother, Ronald Helman and his wife, Sandie; and beloved pets, Bob and Molly.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
