It was a busy morning in the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas this morning with multiple plea and sentencing hearings on the docket.
One of the hearings was for 32-year-old Michael Wisor of Blairsville, who was sentenced before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco for charges of disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and carrying a firearm without a license on May 11. Those charges stem from a shooting on Nov. 7 along Liekert Ave. in Blairsville.
Wisor was sentenced to serve probation for all three counts. He will serve three years for the firearm charges; two years for reckless endangerment; and one year for disorderly conduct. All those sentences will run concurrently.
Also sentenced today was 29-year-old Jordan Lee Shupe, who is charged with reckless endangerment and driving under the influence during an incident on July 28, 2019. In that incident, Shupe allegedly followed a vehicle driven by Paul Swarden and fired a shot from a handgun at the intersection of Birds Road and Blue Jay Lane, endangering Swarden and two people who were in the car with him. One being a three-year-old boy.
Shupe was sentenced to serve 48 hours to six months in Indiana County Jail along with serving two years of probation.
