On Monday, December 11, 2023, the Lord relieved Lucille McGowan from her earthly duties and welcomed her, along on her journey towards heaven. Lucille was born to her parents, the late George and Alice McGowan, on January 6, 1934, in Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
Preceded in death by her three sons, Richard, William, and Kimber-Lee.
Our beloved Lucille is survived by her only daughter, Bobbi-Jo Bolton, five grandchildren, Jabbar, Jasmine, Chante, Anthony, and Ian. As well as five great-grandchildren.
Lucille was educated in Blairsville, Pennsylvania Public School System. After finishing high school, she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1977.
She was a caregiver to numerous individuals over the course of 30 years. Through the state of Pennsylvania, she opened her home as a domiciliary where she took care of the mentally challenged.
Lucille was the lead singer in the choir at Pilgrim Church of God in Christ. Her voice was very anointed and drew many to Christ.
Lucille will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
