Pitt and UCF (University of Central Florida) have announced a home-and-home two-game agreement, with Pitt hosting the Knights on September 12th, 2026 and visiting Orlando on September 15th 2029.
Pitt and UCF have played three times in the past, with the Panthers winning in 2006 and losing in 2018 but winning, 35-34, in the most recent game, in 2019 when they used the infamous “Pitt Special”, a 3-yard trick play touchdown pass from wide receiver Aaron Mathews to quarterback Kenny Pickett for the game-winning score that stopped a 27-game UCF regular season winning streak.
