Jean Ann (Marshall) Zbur, 93 of Indiana, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. Born August 21, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Russel Marshall and Faye (Orr) Marshall. She was the widow of John Zbur who died June 3, 2017.
Jean was a 1947 graduate of the former Keith School in Indiana, a 1949 graduate of Indiana High School and a 1952 graduate of the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a Registered Nurse for 38 years at Indiana Hospital and later at Indian Haven Nursing Home, where she retired as the Director of Nursing in 1990.
Jean was a member of St. Anne Byzantine Catholic Church, Clymer and had formerly belonged to St. Jude Byzantine Church, Ernest.
She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She loved hockey and closely followed the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jean enjoyed doing cross-stich, shopping, traveling and dining out, especially at Bruno’s. Most of all Jean loved her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Indiana Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.
Jean is remembered by her daughter, Joli D. Zbur (fiancé, Jim Woodard), Indiana. Her grandchildren are: Amanda Core (Steve), West Mifflin and Nathan Harrison (Caroline), Bayonne, NJ. Her great grandchildren are: Chase and Connor Harrison and step great grandchildren are: Jeremy and Justin Core. She is also missed by sister, Peggy Moore, Indiana and by her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings: Elaine Murdick and David Marshall.
Visitation is Friday, May 24th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, Indiana (965 Philadelphia St.). The Panachida service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Fr., Wesley M. Mash. Interment will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
