Tamara “Tammy” Kay Barrow, 66, Homer City, died May 23, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Gerald and Margaret (Corosu) Hamilton and was born on April 28, 1958, in Indiana, PA.
Tammy was a member of the Homer City Presbyterian Church and deeply involved in the Homer City American Legion Post #493, Women’s Auxiliary. She held a special place in her heart for “her” veterans, recognizing their service and showing appreciation through the quilts she made for them. Tammy’s dedication to raising funds for veterans was evident in her annual ‘Barrow’s Bash,’ a testament to her commitment to service.
Tammy loved nature and constantly fed the animals that wandered in her yard and on her porch. She also loved her cats and enjoyed caring for them. Tammy also enjoyed dancing, carrying on, and making people laugh.
She is survived by her three sisters, Bonnie (Dan) Steffey, Lucernemines; Becky Battistelli, Lucernemines; and Amy (Tony) Henry, Blairsville. She is also survived by her four nieces, Lisa (Bryan) Hunter, Indiana; Tonya (Christian) Weller, Homer City; Nina Steffey (Dan Fatula), Lucernemines; and Isabella Muster, Lucernmines; and her three nephews, Danny (Missy) Steffey, Homer City; Tony (Julie) Steffey; and Jarod (Jo) Shaffer, Lucernemines.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Barrow, and her sister, Debbie Steffey.
