Leroy Ray, 88, Gibsonia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Vincentian Home, Pittsburgh.
Born and raised in Indiana, PA, he was the son of Arthur and Florence (Shank) Ray.
Leroy had owned and operated the West End Exxon Service Station at 11th and Philadelphia streets.
He was a Korean War veteran. His interests included planes and he flew his first solo flight at age 16 in a Piper Cub.
Surviving is his son, Gregory L. (Celeste) Ray; daughter, Lisa M. Nath, MD; grandchildren, September J. Ray, Corey D. Griffith, Neil A. Nath, and Rachel M. Nath; great grandchildren, Remmi J. Pacheco, and Aubrey L. Griffith.
Preceding Leroy in death were his parents; his wife of 62 years, Marie E. (Gallo) Ray; brothers, Donald, Robert, Richard, and Harold; sisters, Mary and Florence.
Funeral arrangements will be private with interment in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
