Donald “Pappy” Streams, 85 of Marion Center, PA, finally made it home. He was handed the keys to a brand-new car (some parts supplied from the GM plant in Lock port, NY, as he worked there for 28 years.) According to the “Angel Herald”, on July 2, 2024, he was seen coming straight at the “Pearly Gates”, he swerved and narrowly missing the saints (Tri-Community Ambulance service and Pekin Volunteer Fire Department where he worked for over 20 years in New York were fortunately not needed). Consequently, his license was revoked, and a ticket to enter was given.
Despite this unfortunate incident, his family quickly gathered to welcome him eternally home. Arms wide open were his parents; J Max Streams, Bessie (Miller) Streams; Wife of 62 years, Judith (Foltz) Streams; Daughter Pamela Streams; Brothers, Robert, and Richard Streams; Sisters Grace (John) Nelson and Maxine (Glen) Smith. There were many special nieces and nephews and cousins as well as a special grandchild, Baby Streams.
Those that safely remain on the ground of Earth are Son Donald (Elizabeth) Streams which had provided his Dad with the ability to stay at home and care for him during his last years in which dementia had been debilitating. A Daughter Renee Streams of New York, along with 3 special Granddaughters and Great Grandchildren Ariel Ellsworth (Colleen; John) Anastasia (Chris) great-granddaughter Adeline. His exceptional granddaughter who helped provide care during his illness, Gabrielle (Dana) Ellsworth and a beloved great-granddaughter Elleanna “Little Dickens” who joyfully ushered Pappy into his car exclaiming “Go Pappy, Go”!
Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As well as a church family at Bethany Chapel in Marion Center where he was a long-time member.
Our Family would especially like to thank Grane Hospice services and the special nurses who spent a short but meaningful time supporting us in the difficult last days with love and compassion.
The John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home of Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements, and appreciation for the care always they have provided our family throughout the years. To share memories, visit www.lefdahlfuneralhome.com.
