Dennis M. Hollern, 81, of McIntyre, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Scenery Hill Personal Care, Indiana.
He was born June 1, 1943, to Regis and Susan (Turify) Hollern in McIntyre.
Dennis was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Army.
He was a graduate of Elders Ridge High School in 1961. He worked at the steel mills in Cleveland Ohio after his time in the service. Denny then worked for Fisher Scientific as a computer programmer for over 30 years before his retirement. He played the guitar and participated in a folk singing group, “The Blondell Singers” who toured Europe with the USO when he was in the Army. Denny loved running and ran two Marine Corps, marathons with times under 4 hours. He also participated in local races.
He is survived by three brothers, John M. Hollern, McIntyre, Thomas R. Hollern (Patricia), Mechanicsburg, David R. Hollern (Debrah), North Myrtle Beach, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patricia Hockenberry.
