At a special meeting on Wednesday, the River Valley School Board approved the agreement with Force Turf Solutions for the Blairsville Stadium project.
The motion to approve the contract was tabled at the regular voting meeting last week as the contract had not been attached to the motion. The contract includes engineering, design, and construction management services for the field house and concession stand at the stadium. Harper said that they were able to get some items back from the prior contractors to help with the current project.
Spending concerns were also brought up during the meeting. Harper said they are looking into gaining additional money for security, infrastructure, air conditioning and to finish the football field through another bond issue worth between $5 and $7 million.
