The Athletic’s Josh Yohe reports that the upcoming season will be the last in a Penguins uniform for center Evgeni Malkin. He says the team will not offer Malkin a new contract after his current deal expires. He will play the final year of a four-year deal this season.
This will be Malkin’s 20th season with the Pens. He had 16 goals and 34 assists last season.
