A Rossiter woman was taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash Saturday on Route 119 in Young Township, Jefferson County, according to state police.
Troopers say Wanda D. Schmaus, 68, was stopped to turn onto Cunningham Road around 12:29 p.m. when her SUV was rear-ended by a pickup driven by Owen J. Schlabach, 29, of Punxsutawney, who told police he did not realize she was stopped.
Schmaus was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital, while Schlabach was uninjured. Both vehicles required towing, and Schlabach was cited for unsafe speed and a seat belt violation.
