Today is the start of a rollercoaster week as far as weather is concerned, and it will begin with some heavy fog throughout the county.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory that will remain in effect until 11:00 this morning for Indiana, Armstrong, Jefferson and Westmoreland Counties. Visibility could be a quarter-mile or less this morning and pockets of freezing fog are also expected which could lead to slick spots on sidewalks and roads. People are advised to slow down when driving this morning and leave plenty of distance between yourself and the car in front of you and to watch out for icy patches.
The fog will eventually burn off, but later this week temperatures will rise to 60 degrees before going back down to more winter-like temperatures late into the weekend. A check of your AccuWeather forecast is coming up in a few minutes.
