From the US National Weather Service
Snowfall is expected across the region today. In the lowlands, marginal temperatures likely keep wet snow accumulations mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. In the PA/WV ridges, a heavier snow falls and totals can reach above a foot at the highest elevations.
Remember: a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the ridges for 6-12 inches of snow through tomorrow, with isolated higher totals on the highest peaks. 2 to 6 inches is expected in the Winter Weather Advisory area bordering the Warning, and 1 to 3 inches is expected elsewhere.
