Last night, the River Valley School Board approved a guide rail project for the Blairsville Campus.
The project with Force Turf Solutions will install a guide rail along the exit lane and grade and seed between the pavement and the new guiderails at a cost not to exceed $42,724.80, which will be paid through the bond budget. Board president Rick Harper said it was a safety issue.
He also said that there are discussions to put lights on Cornell Road as well, but he does not think it will go over well due to the cost.
In other business, the board approved a second contract with Force Turf for communications boxes at the football field. The project will replace the faulty boxes at the stadium at a cost of $4,705
